Linguocultural Features of the Use of Military Terminology in English and Uzbek
This monograph presents the findings of a study devoted to the linguocultural characteristics of military terminology in English and Uzbek. By identifying the isomorphic and allomorphic features of the historical and etymological development of military terms from a diachronic perspective, the study examines the phenomenon of transterminologization as one of the key mechanisms in the formation of terminology. From a synchronic perspective, it further analyzes the lexical-semantic, structural-semantic, and syntactic characteristics of military terms based on linguostatistical criteria determined according to their classification into different parts of speech. Particular attention is given to the linguocultural features of terminology related to the military domain. This monograph is intended for linguists and researchers interested in the linguocultural aspects of military terminology, as well as for master's and undergraduate students at higher education institutions.
